Track of the week: Joe Hicks - 'Rest Your Head (Acoustic)'

Team Tigmus were lucky to catch Joe Hicks supporting his friend and bandmate Adam Barnes at his London album launch show this time last month... he's been releasing solo tunes for just over a year and shared Rest Your Head just before the gig last month. It's written about a friend's struggle with depression and is incredibly moving. Our track of the week this weeks comes in the shape of an acoustic version from an upcoming EP of acoustic tracks which is set for release in April - we're loving this one. Gig of the week: Adam Barnes album launch at St Pancras Old Church (21st Feb)

Like our gig of the week last week (Sivu - who was completely stunning) this week's is another show that a couple of team Tigmus are off to, and we're really looking forward to this one! Everyone's fave bearded folk muso Adam Barnes plays the beautiful St Pancras Old Church this Weds (21st) to launch his brand new record Vacancy At Nasa (listen here). With Christof van der Ven and Adam's guitarist Joe Hicks in support it is looking to be a wonderful evening of acoustic/folk tunes. Adam's also got Barney Morse Brown (aka Duotone) joining his live band for the evening. Do you need any more reasons to come along?! Take a listen to recent releases from all three artists below!

Gig of the week: Joe Hicks at Oxford's Jericho Tavern (3rd July)

Oxford! Our gig of the week this week is tonight at one of our favourite local venues, the Jericho Tavern. You might know Joe Hicks as guitarist for Adam Barnes, but he's started up a solo project with a couple of EPs under his belt already, and tonight he plays his debut live show with support from Georgia Michel.
