We're big fans of Cosmo Sheldrake at Tigmus, so we're making his London headliner this Thursday at EartH in Hackney (previously the Hackney Arts Centre) our gig of the week! With support from I See Rivers and performing tracks from his wonderful debut album The Much Much How How & I it's sure to be a wonderful evening of live music. His set supporting Johnny Flynn at the Roundhouse last year was one of the best we caught all year so we're giving a big recommendation that you get along to this show! The last of the tickets are available here.

She's heading out on tour tomorrow, and is taking Tigmus faves Ferris & Sylvester out on the road too, as if you needed any more reason to catch her live. Check out her latest single Love Has All Been Done Before and grab tickets for the show here!

Gig of the week: Christof van der Ven at Sebright Arms (6th Nov)
We loved catching Christof van der Ven opening for friend of Tigmus Adam Barnes back at the start of the year at his show at London's St Pancras Old Church. His album Empty Handed and recent live EP of the same name are both beautiful, and he's a wonderful performer, so we're making his show at London's Sebright Arms this Tuesday (6th) our gig of the week! Check out the album's title track Empty Handed below and grab tickets for the show here!

Gig of the week: Fil Bo Riva at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen (3rd Oct)
At Tigmus we're a big fan of Fil Bo Riva. We caught him playing a set in the basement of a hotel on the Brighton seafront at last year's The Great Escape festival, and completely fell in love with his music. His unique tone and honest lyrics combine to create a really beautiful set of songs, notably those from the If You're Right, It's Alright EP from 2016. In the run up to the release of his debut record which he's been working on for the last couple of years, FBR has released a number of singles this year, including Time Is Your Gun which you can listen to below. He's on a European tour and plays his only UK headline show at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen this Wednesday (3rd). It's our gig of the week, and with Hilang Child in support it's sure to be a wonderful evening! Grab tickets for the show here.

Gig of the week: Nick Mulvey at EartH Hackney (26th & 27th Sep)
It's been just over a year since Nick Mulvey blessed our ears with his stunning sophomore record Wake Up Now, the follow-up to 2014's Mercury Prize nominated First Mind. He's currently on a solo tour, playing tracks from both records up and down the country, and our gig(s) of the week are his shows in London, at EartH Hackney. He's playing the venue on 26th and 27th - we massively recommend getting along to see Nick play live! His shows are an absolute delight, he is an incredible performer and you will be left mesmerised by his talents! Grab the last tickets for the show on the 27th, and others on the tour, here.

Gig of the week: Low Island at O2 Academy Oxford (21st Sep)
If you're in Oxford, you really should get yourselves along to this show on Friday evening. Our pals Low Island are releasing Low Island 17-18, a physical collection of tracks from their three brilliant EPs from the last couple of years. They're launching the EP with a hometown show and one of their biggest shows yet upstairs at the O2 Academy in Oxford. With support from locals Theo and BE GOOD it's a complete certainty to be one of the best gigs of the year in Oxford, we'd say. Three wonderful live acts! You can grab discounted vinyl and ticket bundles through their site here.

Gig of the week: Tamino at Courtyard Theatre (12th Sep)
Our gig of the week this week is a really special one - the legends at Communion are putting on the incredibly talented artist Tamino, who we caught a couple of times earlier in the year playing stunning sets for the label at Bushstock and The Great Escape. He's releasing his debut album Amir on 19th October, and is playing a show at The Courtyard Theatre in London, playing tracks from the record (including the beautiful tunes from the Habibi EP which was released earlier this year and we adore!) He'll be supported by Imogen who played a fantastic set supporting Sivu earlier this year - it's sure to be a great night! Grab tickets for the show and find out more here.

Gig of the week: The Hungry Mothers at Komedia, Brighton (9th Aug)
For this week's gig of the week (a Brighton show!) we were first drawn to the show thanks to the wonderful support acts (MarthaGunn and Josh McGovern) - they're playing alongside Brighton's own The Hungry Mothers at Komedia this Thursday. They're new to us, but forgive our foolishness for being late to the party with THM... we're listening to their new single Easy at the moment and loving it! The stripped back tune Green Roses is also a beauty. With some beautiful vocals and lovely laid back Americana vibes, they're sure to put on a brilliant show, opened up in style by Josh and our friends in MarthaGunn, who played a set at WOMAD Festival for us recently!

Gig of the week: WOMAD Festival (this weekend!)
Following featuring Truck Festival last week (which we missed but totally loving the shots that Oxford photographer Helen Messenger has been sharing of the likes of Gengahr, Everything Everything and Friendly Fires on her Twitter page here) we're making another festival our gig of the week... it is Summer after all. This week, we're excited that WOMAD Festival is finally (almost) upon us. With an incredibly diverse line-up featuring artists from all over the globe including the likes of Amadou & Mariam, Omar Souleyman, Too Many Zooz and Django Django, we're particularly excited because (if you missed the news) we were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to handpick some of our favourite new artists for the festival's line-up. We're certain that Seramic, Low Island and MarthaGunn will do us proud!

Gig of the week: Benedict Benjamin at Paper Dress Vintage (12th July)
After catching him at a couple of Sofar Sounds shows in Oxford over the last few years, we're big fans of Benedict Benjamin and his beautiful folky tunes. He's playing a full band show at Paper Dress Vintage this Thursday (12th) and (you guessed it) it's our gig of the week! Check out a performance of Thin Skin from his wonderful debut album Night Songs to get a taste of his music - he'll likely be premiering some new material at this show! Find more info and grab tickets for the show here.
